Hadleigh  welcomed newly promoted Great Yarmouth to the " Millfield "  on an overcast humid afternoon. Hadleigh had early chances to take the lead but these were squandered, with Great Yarmouth getting the upper hand in the second half to take a fine win off the hosts leaving Hadleigh  to rue the missed early chances.

Hadleigh earned a free kick after 2 minutes on the right, with Warren Taylor-Holt's ball in being header clear for a corner, which was wasted. 3 minutes later  another Warren Taylor-Holt from long range found Ben Deacon but his header in was well cleared by the Yarmouth defence.

Yarmouth's first attack saw a through ball by Bell found Vide to cross in with Reed's shot in being deflected for a corner, Fell's flag kick in found Roberts unmarked with Simon Hyde heading clear for another Yarmouth corner, this corner kick being gathered by keeper Aaron Benstead.

Hadleigh had another chance on 10 minutes when Ben Deacon's shot was deflected out for a corner in keeper Hilton's blocking tackle.

Two minutes later a Warren Taylor-Holt cross for Hadleigh found Ben Deacon in the area, but he shot wide when in a good position.

On 17 minutes Yarmouth's Reed pass found  Norman his shot in being punched clear by Aaron Benstead , with Yarmouth's Smith firing in the loose ball which went wide.

On 23 minutes Yarmouth attacked with Reed on a one -on-one with Aaaron Benstead out of his area , as Benstead tried to clear the ball he fouled Reed on the edge of the area, and escaped with a yellow card, Smith's resultant free kick hit the Hadleigh wall as Hadleigh had a let off.

On 25 minutes Yarmouth's Vide's pace beat the Hadleigh midfield allowing him a solo run  with his shot in being tipped over by Aaron Benstead.

Two minutes later Hadleigh's Ben Garnham gave the ball away cheaply in midfield with Yarmouth's Norman's shot in being kicked clear by Aaron Benstead, but Yarmouth's Smith reacted quickest to the loose ball to fire in the opening goal.

 On the half hour Hadleigh's Lee Smith tested keeper Hilton with a long range effort, 5 minutes later  he fire over from distance.

A Yarmouth break on 37 minutes by Bell saw him run unchallenged down the left, but he shot in went straight into keeper Aaron Benstead's arms .

As half time approached, Yarmouth's  Palmer cleared a header in from Ben Deacon following a cross in by Warren Taylor-Holt.

In first half stoppage time , Warren Tayor-Holt saw a shot in turned out by Hilton, before Hadleigh were nearly caught when a cross in from Reed beat the static Hadleigh defence go wide.

An early second half shot in by Bell saw Aaron Benstead gather safely, before on 48 minutes as Hadleigh pressed for the equaliser Yarmouth had to defend firmly as a Warren Taylor-Holt corner was headed clear , then a Ben Deacon shot in forced keeper Hilton into a one-handed save at the expense of a corner.

On 52 minutes, Yarmouth increased their lead when a corner kick by Bell found Vide to header in , with Reed sloting in from close range.

Hadleigh then pushed , with Warren Taylor-Holt corner being punched clear by Hilton , with Warren Taylor-Holt taking the second corner kick, Duane Wright headed just wide, minutes later a free kick from Hadleigh's Lee Smith was headed clear by Roberts.

On 65 minutes Hadleigh were stretched as a long range shot by Fell saw Vide header just over for Yarmouth.

On 77 minutes Hadleigh's Craig Payne won the ball well on the right, his twist & turn beat two defenders with his accurate shot in being punched clear by Hilton with Ben Deacon on hand to header in for Hadleigh's goal  after several missed chances.

However Yarmouth continued to attack , with Simon Hyde having to header clear a dangerous ball in from Norman, before Yarmouth's Bell's free kick shot in was just wide.

On 82 minutes Hadleigh were caught again allowing an easy cross in from the right by Reed to find Vide to slot home past the diving Aaron Benstead.

6 minutes later  Hadleigh's defence was caught again as another cross in from the right by Vide found  Fell to slot home. Yarmouth were still not finished as two more shots in by Reed in quick succession were punched clear then tipped over by keeper Aaron Benstead.
