08/03/2010 - Kings Lynn update

At  a " Fans  Forum "  meeting on Friday March 6th  attended by over 100 supporters,  the name of

" Kings Lynn Town "  was   formally adopted as the new name for the " Linnets ".

 

However  it will not be known until May  when the F.A decide which competition the new club will play in, but they ( Kings Lynn Town ) still prefer the Ridgeons Premier League

07/03/2010 - 2010 / 2011 Season

The F.A  have announced their dates for the F.A. Cup &  Vase early rounds.

The extra preliminary  round of the F.A. Cup  will be  Saturday 14th August 2010, with the following round on Saturday 28th August   2010.

The 1st Qualifing round of the F.A. Vase  will be   Saturday  4th September 2010.

Therefore subject to ratification by the Ridgeon League Managemnt Committee it looks likely the  Ridgeons Senior Teams season will commence on SATURDAY  7th AUGUST 2010   and  finish on SATURDAY   APRIL 30th  2011

07/03/2010 - Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup

Following yesterday's  semi-final matches

The final will be  between  Lowestoft Town Reservers &  Haverhill Rovers Reserves

02/03/2010 - Woodbridge Points Deducted & Match to replay

Following their 5-1 win over Felixstowe & Walton Utd  on 2nd January, Woodbridge   fielded two ineligible  players.

The Ridgeons Committee have  ordered the match to be replayed, with the results expuned and Woodbridge picking up a fine.

01/03/2010 - F.A.Vase semi-final Draw

In today's  semi-final draw   Wroxham have miss  Whitley Bay  and will  face  Whitehawk

Draw  :-

Wroxham  v  Whitehawk

Whitley  Bay   v    Barwell   or  Norton & Stockton Ancients

The Semi-final matches  are played over two legs,  on Saturday  March 27th & Saturday 3rd April

Winners of the semi-final recieve  £7000.00

In order to aid other fixture changes by the League, the following Hadleigh fixtures  have altered.:-

First  Team

Needham Market   v  Hadleigh  United   was Saturday April 24th, now  TUESDAY  MARCH 30th

Leiston   v   Hadleigh United                was Wednesday  17th March  now  SATURDAY  APRIL 24th

Reserves

Harwich & Parkeston Res  v Hadleigh Utd Res was  Wednesday 14th April  now  SATURDAY 10th APRIL

The main fixture list has been amended

Several Ridgeons Players have made recent moves

Following Harwich & Parkeston demise, Adam Bloss & Jack Sibbons have left to join Brantham Athletic, whilst  Brantham centre back  James Horsfall has joine Stowmarket  Town

Felixstowe & Walton  have recently signed  Allicion Blake  from Leiston,   Paul  Berry  also from Leiston has joined on loan until the end of the season

Norwich United have signed midfielder  Justin Fox from Kirkley & Pakefield, he was previously with  Wroxham having made 200 appearances before joining Kirkley & Pakefield.

Much travelled    Sam Banya   has left  Long Melford by mutal consent after making five league appearances and scoring one goal.
