Hadleigh Win But Allen Injured

Hadleigh Utd deservedly won at Grundisburgh on Saturday with goals from the returning Scott Chaplin and James Blades who both scored twice.
With Daniel Heath, Oliver Brown and Neil Calver nursing injuries young Charlie de lara-Bell played in goal. Jon Ince made his first start of the pre-season, whilst Chris McLaughlin and Scott Chaplin played only the second games of the pre-season due to holiday.
The day ended on a sour note though with the news that Danny Allen has broken his metatarsal, just moments after coming on as a second half substitute which will keep him out for about 8-weeks.
